On Thursday, Oct. 23, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Galveston Water Control and Improvement District (WICD) / TX0840001 to issue a Boil Water Notice due to a temporary service interruption to the Bayou Village subdivision and area businesses.
We are pleased to report that the issue has been resolved. Laboratory tests have confirmed that the water no longer requires boiling.
You may resume normal water use effective immediately.
