GCWA Announces Annual Change to Water Disinfection April 8-May 6, 2024 As part of annual, routine system maintenance, the Gulf Coast Water Authority (GCWA) will temporarily change its water disinfection process from a combination of chlorine and ammonia (chloramine) to chlorine only April 8-May 6, 2024.

WCID #1’s 2023 report shows that our drinking water meets or exceeds all federal and state standards and is safe.

Backdoor Garbage Collection Service Renewal Reminder AmeriWaste, the district’s solid waste service company, provides backdoor garbage collection for customers with severe disabilities and no other persons in their households who can roll their carts to the street.
SCAM ALERT – Fraudulent Calls & Texts WCID #1 is advising customers about how to prevent payment scams after water utility districts in other parts of Texas have reported fraudulent activity targeting customers, particularly those with commercial accounts.
Hazardous Waste Services Free hazardous waste and electronics recycling services are available for Dickinson’s water district residential customers by appointment at the Stella Roberts Recycling Center in Pearland. This service is offered through a partnership with the nonprofit Keep Pearland Beautiful.
