Start, Stop, Transfer Service

If you have questions about any of these services, call Customer Service at 281-337-1576, option 1. We recommend contacting us seven (7) days in advance of any service needed.

You may also come into the office at 2750 FM 517 Rd East, Dickinson, Texas 77539 during regular business hours, Monday – Thursday: 8 AM – 5 PM and Friday: 8 AM – 12 PM.

START Service

If the service location has been vacant for more than one year, you must call Customer Service at 281-337-1576, option 1, or come into the office to start service.

Completion of an application, accompanied by receipt of deposit, will ensure NEXT BUSINESS DAY turn-on services of water UNLESS the following day falls on a district cut-off day. In this situation, water service will be turned on the following business day.

Setting Up New Service for Residential Water, Sewer and Garbage

For a single-family residential start service request, choose one of these options:

  • Visit 2TurnItOn.com, enter your contact information and select Residential. Add Galveston County Water/Sewer/Trash Service to your cart. If you would like to view other optional utility services, click on the Continue Shopping button, otherwise click on the Cart button to checkout. Upon checkout, you will complete the application process including uploading the required documentation.
  • Print and complete this application, attach required documentation and email to customerservice@gcwcid1tx.gov.
  • Bring your required documentation to the office at 2750 FM 517 Rd East, Dickinson, Texas 77539 and complete an application in person.

Note: If this is new residential construction, you should review and comply with the requirements listed on the Builders Services page before completing the Start Service Application.

Setting Up New Service for Commercial Water, Sewer and Garbage

For a non-single-family residential start service request, choose one of these options:

  • Visit 2TurnItOn.com, enter your contact information and select Business. Add Galveston County Water/Sewer/Trash Service to your cart. If you would like to view other optional utility services, click on the Continue Shopping button, otherwise click on the Cart button to checkout. Upon checkout, you will complete the application process including uploading the required documentation.
  • Print and complete this application, attach required documentation and email to customerservice@gcwcid1tx.gov.
  • Bring your required documentation to the office at 2750 FM 517 Rd East, Dickinson, Texas 77539 and complete an application in person.

Note: If this is new or major remodel commercial construction, commercial customers should review and comply with the requirements listed on the Builders Services page before completing the Start Service Application.

To make a change to your existing account (cancel bank draft, change mailing address, etc.), call Customer Service at 281-337-1576, option 1, or you can print and complete this form, attach required documentation and email to customerservice@gcwcid1tx.gov.
